BURSLEM POTTERY 21cm TRAIN VASE Trial PieceThe Burslem Pottery Co. was established in 1894 by brothers Charles Frederick Bailey and Alexander Bailey. The company made decorated earthenware for domestic use. The company closed in 1934 after the death of Charles Frederick Bailey.The Burslem Pottery was revived by ceramic artist Tracy Bentley.Bentley continues the tradition of making stoneware by hand, including grotesque birds and animals, vases, lamps, and tiles.
